MSSU Alert is a new text messaging notification system designed to keep the students, faculty, and staff at Missouri Southern State University informed during emergencies.
You are automatically enrolled in the system when you register for classes. Staff and Faculty members are also automatically enrolled.
If you want to receive text messaging notifications you will need to log in to enter or verify your cell phone number and provider. Otherwise, you will be notified of emergency situations only via MSSU email. Note that your cellular phone provider may charge a per-text message cost for the delivery of emergency notifications to your phone.
We encourage you to login to the Rave Wireless site (https://www.getrave.com/login/mssu) to confirm your contact information and choose your notification preferences.
The University only plans to send notifications via the MSSU Alert system for events that impact the majority of the campus, such as school closures or emergencies. At least once a semester, the University will send a test notification to verify the functionality of the system.
This email is a welcome email from the MSSU Alert vendor, Rave Wireless. This email includes your username and password into the MSSU Alert system. You can access the MSSU Alert system to activate your cell phone number and provide an alternate email address.
If you do not have a cell phone plan that includes free text messaging as part of your service, you will be charged for text messages sent. Your cell service provider determines the amount charged. You can also opt out of receiving text messages.
Your Rave username is your LioNet ID and your LioNet PIN is your password.
