Non-Degree Seeking

Students admitted as non-degree seeking will be advised through the Student Success Center.

Please keep the following in mind as you consider being a non-degree seeking student:

  • Enrollment for students admitted as non-degree students will start in the Student Success Center.
  • Though transcripts are not needed to be admitted as non-degree seeking students, prerequisite requirements may still need to be met for individual courses.
  • If the course to be enrolled in requires a prerequisite, the student will need to present an official transcript showing prerequisite has been met. Students who present an unofficial transcript pending the submission of an official transcript will be sent to the department chair of the course.
  • Non-degree seeking students are not eligible for Financial Aid. This means students must pay all tuition out of pocket, but are eligible to use a payment plan offered by the institution. Contact the Bursar’s Office at bursar@mssu.edu for information.
