MSSU to be Open February 21, 2025
Missouri Southern State University will be open on Friday, February 21. Campus roads and sidewalks are generally clear and in good condition.
We understand that road conditions vary across the region, and employees and non-residential students are encouraged to use best judgment on their ability to safely travel to campus.

H2Obics

Benefits of Aquatic Fitness:

  • Stress reduction
  • Minimal muscle strain
  • Tone, build lean muscle, increase flexibility, & get an aerobic workout all at once
  • Cardiovascular improvement
  • Reduced likelihood for injuries
  • Little to NO impact

All classes can be modified for everyone from beginners to pros!

Shallow H2Obics

Mondays (11:30a-12:30p)

  • This class provides a low-impact, comprehensive aerobic water workout.
  • Keep your hair and face (mostly) dry with this class.

Deep H2Obics

Wednesdays (11:30a-12:30p)

  • Get an all-inclusive workout with NO impact!
  • Keep your hair and face (mostly) dry with this class.

Please note:

  • Although helpful, the ability to swim is not necessary to participate in H2Obics classes.
  • H2Obics classes are FREE to all members of the Missouri Southern Aquatic & Racquetball Center &/ Beimdiek Rec Center.
  • The Recreational Services Department reserves the right to cancel aquatic fitness classes at any time
  • Classes will not be held when pool is closed .
