Due to road conditions and extreme low temperatures, Missouri Southern will be closed on Friday, January 10, 2025. MSSU will transition to an online telework model. 

Faculty and staff who are able to work from home should do so. Please check with your supervisor if you have any questions.

The Veteran Services department at Missouri Southern strives to help all current and former members of the United States military and their families to make the transition from boots to books more smoothly.


Welcome

The Mission of the Veteran Services Office at Missouri Southern State University is to create a welcoming environment that is dedicated to supporting the needs of military service members, veterans, and dependents as they make the transition to higher education and pursue their career goals.

The Veteran Services Office assists military service members, veterans, and dependents with utilizing their VA and military education benefits at Missouri Southern State University and is responsible for certifying enrollment to the VA.

Missouri Southern State University participates in the following programs:

  • U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs Principles of Excellence
  • U.S. Department of Defense Memorandum of Understanding
  • Missouri Returning Heroes Education Act

Missouri Southern State University offers military service members and veterans:

  • In-State Tuition Regardless of Residency Status
  • Priority Enrollment for Enrollment in Courses
  • College Credit for Military Training and Experience
  • Application Fee for Admissions is Waived
