Convenience Cost Now Added to Credit Card Payments

As of July 2015, Missouri Southern State University changed the way credit card payments are accepted for student accounts.  A 2.95 % convenience cost is charged by TouchNet – the university’s third party processor – to cover the cost of processing credit and debit card payments. The cost (a minimum of $3) will be assessed for credit card payments made for tuition, costs and housing.  Missouri Southern does not receive any part of the convenience cost, which applies only to those students making payments via credit or debit card. As of February 23, 2024, a service fee rate of 4.25% will apply to international card payments.

Two separate transactions will appear on credit card statements – one for the account payment and the other for the convenience cost. The TouchNet cost is non-refundable.
