KGCS-TV and the Missouri Southern State University (MSSU) Department of Communication hosted the highly anticipated Cardinals Caravan event at the Taylor Performing Arts Center on Saturday, January 18, 2025. The event, which was free to the public, brought baseball fans together to meet some of the St. Louis Cardinals’ top players and alumni.
The Cardinals Caravan bus arrived on campus just before 11:00 a.m., where fans lined up for the opportunity to meet players, collect autographs, and participate in an interactive Q&A session. The event featured a roster of notable players, including pitchers Andre Pallante, Matthew Liberatore, and Riley O’Brien, as well as outfielder Matt Koperniak. Also on hand were Cardinals alum Kyle McClellan and announcer Bengie Molina.
The Q&A session, moderated by Tom Ackerman of KMOX Sports, gave fans the chance to ask questions of the players and alumni. Following the discussion, players signed autographs for local youth in attendance.
KGCS-TV captured the event for future broadcast, with the program to be aired at a later date. The full presentation will also be available on the station's YouTube channel, KGCS – MSSU.
