Cynthia Schwab Provides Impactful Gift to MSSU

Cynthia Schwab, a Manhattan native, has a long history with Missouri Southern. From 1990-95, Cynthia served on what was then Missouri Southern’s Board of Regents (now called the Board of Governors). She has been a patron of education, supporting the school for over 35 years, and is a member of the Lantern Society and the Legacy Club. When talking about Missouri Southern Cynthia says “Missouri Southern plays a vital role in our community, offering exceptional opportunities, particularly to the students in our local area. I strongly believe in the international mission of Missouri Southern and the enriching contributions it makes to our institution.” Thank you, Cynthia, for your major estate gift towards the Lions Forward campaign!

The Lions Forward Campaign is dedicated to fostering a bright future on campus for our students. The overarching goal of the campaign is to elevate student success opportunities through three strategic areas: Enhancing the student experience, fostering academic excellence, and building the campus of the future.

This campaign will provide a plethora of new student opportunities that will enrich their academic experience and consequently, attract new students to our university for years to come. Funds will be invested heavily into new student scholarships, new student-focused spaces, and the construction of a new Health Science Innovation Center.

“The impact of a successful campaign will be nothing short of transformational. New student scholarships, facilities, and programs that support student success will lead to higher levels of student achievement.”  - Dr. Dean Van Galen, Missouri Southern President
