Today we recognize a Kansas City-area accounting graduate and their spouse who took a unique
approach to their support for MSSU. “We included MSSU in our estate plans with an intent to fund a scholarship. But we also wanted to do something that provided a more immediate benefit to a student. So we decided to fund an endowed scholarship with a current gift as well. We can then grow the endowment through annual giving and ultimately the estate gift.” This approach allows the couple to provide both immediate and long-term assistance to students at MSSU. And by establishing the endowment now, they will get a chance to know the many students who will receive their scholarship over the years!

The Lions Forward Campaign is dedicated to fostering a bright future on campus for our students. The overarching goal of the campaign is to elevate student success opportunities through three strategic areas: Enhancing the student experience, fostering academic excellence, and building the campus of the future.
This campaign will provide a plethora of new student opportunities that will enrich their academic experience and consequently, attract new students to our university for years to come. Funds will be invested heavily into new student scholarships, new student-focused spaces, and the construction of a new Health Science Innovation Center.
