Empowering U provides campus with a framework to utilize open-book management to improve critical metrics related to University strategic goals. In essence, EU offers the tools to help every employee support MSSU’s mission to educate and graduate knowledgeable, responsible, successful global citizens.
Understanding how your job and the work you do impacts the University’s strategic plan and financial climate is key to the success of Empowering U. To assist with this understanding, the Empowering U Training Committee has created a an EU Training Manual and corresponding set of training videos explaining the Empowering U initiative. These materials include an overview of Southern’s critical metrics, how you can impact these metrics through process improvement challenges, and statistical data showing the impact EU efforts have had on campus culture.
