MSSU’s MBA Program
MBA graduates with specializations in areas such as data analytics or healthcare may be in higher demand as they signal expertise to prospective employers. MSSU’s MBA provides students the opportunity to specialize in data analytics (STEM-classified), management, healthcare management, or education. Our curriculum of 10 courses (30 credit hour) contains 6 MBA Core business courses and 4 specialization courses.

MSSU’s MBA in healthcare equips graduates to lead in this rapidly growing industry by through a combination of business education and healthcare administration core courses to provide knowledge of business management and industry-specific skills. This degree equips students for C-suite healthcare positions such as chief executive officer, chief financial officer, chief operations officer, and other senior administrative positions.

MSSU’s MBA in education combines coursework in business and pedagogy to prepare graduates to teach at both lower and higher levels. Many graduates will teach at the high school level as many high schools offer business courses to upperclassman. Graduates may also teach general business courses at community colleges and vocational schools; teach general business courses as an adjunct instructor at a college or university; or teach in adult education programs. The degree does not lead to a teacher licensure.

Our MBA program is available to MSSU Plaster of Business juniors and seniors. Approved students can take up to 12 credit hours of MBA courses that can be applied to their undergraduate degree and the MBA program.
This program allows Plaster of Business students to complete their MBA in as little as one year after completing their undergraduate business degree. Contact the Program Director for application details.
Requirements to apply:
The MBA is open to applicants holding a Bachelor of Business Administration from a regionally accredited college or university or recognized equivalent international university, with a cumulative 2.75 GPA (or higher).
In addition, documentation of ONE of the following:
Applicants with a non-business undergraduate degree or non-accredited business degree: Applicants need to complete the following seven prerequisite courses. MSSU provides leveling courses that can each be completed in just a few weeks. Alternatively, these can be taken as traditional courses at MSSU, another regionally accredited college/university, or recognized equivalent international university. Prerequisite courses are to be completed with equivalent to a 2.75 GPA. Completion of all prerequisite courses is required prior to beginning MBA courses.
Conditional Admission: An applicant who does not fully meet the requirements for admission as a regular graduate student, at the discretion of the Program Director, may be allowed to enroll in the graduate program under a conditional acceptance status.
