The Simulation Committee for Inter-professional Learning Opportunities (SCILO) will serve to promote simulation and inter-professional education (IPE), training, and assessment for faculty and students of Missouri Southern State University.
The goal of the SCILO committee is to support and promote simulation/inter-professional curriculums, skills, team trainings, assessments, research, and debriefing techniques for undergraduate and graduate healthcare education.
The committee will be an advocate for faculty, staff, and students to share ideas, resources, expertise, and organize activities for collaborative practice and faculty development. The committee will be open to any faculty who are currently involved in simulation or interested in creating simulation/IPE for their department. The meetings will also include an invitation to 2-4 students that join the committee each semester.
Monthly meetings will be held to discuss the latest in simulation, IPE, seek support on simulation/IPE activities and help maintain compliance for accreditation. Meeting minutes and shared resources will be maintained online for committee members.
