Birthdays are a special time that we enjoy sharing with your child. Treats may be sent for your child’s birthday; however, we request that all treats be pre-packaged. We cannot serve homemade goodies. Please give advance notice to your child’s teacher when you intend to bring treats. Please ask the teacher for the number of children who will be in attendance, any food allergies, or special dietary restrictions on the day you plan to bring treats.
Special attention is paid to your child’s needs. Alternative food choices will be provided, within reason, to protect your child when items that he/she is sensitive to are on the menu. You will be required to provide doctor's documentation of your child's allergy. There may be food allergies we cannot accommodate for. The Academy provides CACFP approved soy milk as an alternative to whole and skim, other alternative milk products will need to be provided by the family. We are a nut free facility, so Almond Milk, Cashew Milk, etc. are not allowed.
Tuition costs include the cost of meals and snacks for your child. You are required to complete the Child and Adult Care Food Program enrollment form so that MSSU may receive reimbursement for food costs in the Lion Cub Academy.
