Missouri Southern offers American Heart Association (AHA) CPR training. Our instructors are certified to teach Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Life Support (PALS). Heartcode BLS, ACLS, and PALS are the preferred method of instruction; however, we will consider in class offerings on an as needed basis. For questions regarding course scheduling, please email CPR@mssu.edu . We currently offer the following certification options to current (or incoming) students and community members. PLEASE NOTE - TEACHERS SHOULD CHOOSE HEARTSAVER CPR.
Heartcode BLS, ACLS, and/or PALS offers a blended learning opportunity for healthcare practitioners. Students access the textbook and a written exam online using an individual code assigned by Missouri Southern. Once testing is completed, students will print a completion certificate and bring it to campus for their PRE-SCHEDULED skills testing session. This learning option is available for both initial certification and recertification.
