A study of key skills needed for effective supervision—planning, organization, motivation and leadership. To effectively supervise a group, there are foundational principles that must be integrated into the key skills including professional and ethical responsibilities, communication, and change management. Understanding and valuing one’s personality and the personalities of others is critical to be an effective supervisor.

A hands on ceramics workshop for both beginners and established clay artists. Students may create functional or non-functional items utilizing the potter’s wheel or by using various hand building techniques. Glazing using food-safe glazes and high temperature firings are part of the course.

Fall 2024 - Six Sigma Green Belt Training
Six Sigma is a data-driven methodology used to improve a product or process. Dozens of six sigma improvement tools and techniques are taught. The course is highly interactive. Many hands-on simulations, exercises, and case studies are used to apply theory. Minitab Statistical Software is used to teach Six Sigma. This course enables individuals to earn Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
