Missouri Southern State University will be open on Friday, February 21. Campus roads and sidewalks are generally clear and in good condition.

Continuing Education Courses - spring 2025



Clay Techniques
 

A hands-on ceramics workshop for both beginners and established clayclay artists. Students may create functional or non-functional items utilizing the potter’s wheel or by using various hand building techniques. Glazing using food-safe glazes and high-temperature stoneware firings are part of the course. 
  • Course Price: $560 (includes $110 consumable materials fee; clay not included)

Industrial Supervision



A study of key skills needed for effective supervision—planning,supervision organization, motivation and leadership. To effectively supervise a group, there are foundational principles that must be integrated into the key skills including professional and ethical responsibilities, communication, and change management. Understanding and valuing one’s personality and the personalities of others is critical to be an effective supervisor.
