The chart below shows the required math course for the various degrees/departments on campus. if your specific degree/department isn't listed, then Math 125 (Contemporary Mathematics) is the course you need to take to meet the general education requirement for a bachelor's degree.
Your initial placement is based on your Math ACT score and your chosen major. The chart below will tell you which course you qualify for.
The following chart illustrates the sequence for all entry level Mathematics courses.
Any student that has an initial placement into Math 20 or Math 30 may appeal that placement. These are the steps you must go through to appeal.

Placement testing is available one week prior to the semester start until the last week of the semester. The placement test has 10 questions with a 20 minute time limit. If you pass, then you can move on to the next class in the sequence. If you do not pass, then you will have to take the class you are attempting to skip. |
