Pursuing a master's degree is a significant commitment. Our program design offers flexibility with completion tracks geared towards working professionals in 24 months or there is an option to complete in as few as 12 months for full-time students.
All courses can be completed 100% online or in-person. Instructors will simultaneously deliver weekly in the classroom and virtually. You can attend in-person, plug in live online, and view recorded lectures later. MSSU’s innovative course delivery options allow you to pursue your educational goals while meeting the demands of career, family, and the many other competing interests of your time.

The M.S. in Data Analytics courses were created with input from organizations leading the way in the ever-changing field of data analysis. A (3) credit hour Data Analytics Internship can be substituted for one of the above Data Analytics courses, with prior approval from the Program Coordinator. International students can utilize a Data Analytics Internship for Curricular Practical Training, with prior approval from the Graduate Program Director and International Admissions Coordinator.

Our MS in Data Analytics program is available to MSSU juniors and seniors from all majors. Approved undergraduate students can take up to 12 credit hours of MSDA courses to get a head start on a graduate degree. The hours can also be applied to their undergraduate degree as open electives.
This program allows students to complete their MSDA in as little as one year after completing their undergraduate business degree. Contact the Program Director for application details.
Requirements to apply:
- Completed a minimum of 75 credit hours.
- Earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
The Master of Science in Data Analytics is open to students holding a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a regionally accredited college or university or recognized equivalent international university, with a cumulative 2.75 GPA (or higher).
In addition, documentation of ONE of the following:
- 3.25 cumulative GPA in a bachelor’s degree
- 3 years of full-time work experience
- Combined score of 300 on the verbal and quantitative sections of the Graduate Records Examination (GRE)
- Minimum score of 450 on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT)
- Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with at least a 3.0 GPA.
Conditional Admission: An applicant who does not fully meet the requirements for admission as a regular graduate student, at the discretion of the Program Director, may be allowed to enroll in the graduate program under a conditional acceptance status.
Applicants from outside the U.S. are required to provide the following:
- Applicants whose native language is not English are required to submit TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo scores.
- Applicants who have taken classes outside the U.S. may have their transcripts evaluated by MSSU Admissions. MSSU requires a GPA equivalency. If MSSU Admissions is unable to determine a GPA or the applicant disagrees with the evaluation, they may submit their transcript to an approved third-party evaluation service.
