Finance Emphasis

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - Finance

Many high-paying careers involve Finance. Finance is concerned with the process, institutions,
markets, and instruments involved with the transfer of money among businesses, individuals, and governments.

About the Finance Emphasis

MSSU’s BSBA in Finance introduces students to the theories, concepts, practices, and advances in financial analysis and financial management. Our program provides knowledge in asset management, commercial banking, corporate finance, financial planning, investments, insurance, or risk management.

Experiential Learning Opportunities in Finance

Through MSSU’s Edward Jones Investment Center, the Finance program includes a
Student Managed Investment Fund that provides students with real-world experience
managing a portfolio of financial assets.

Career Outlook in Finance

Finance students enjoy a high rate of employment in public or private corporations, non-profit
organizations, and government. Our degree helps students develop the necessary skills to pursue job opportunities upon graduation in the following high-demand positions:

  • Chief Financial Officer
  • Bank Manager
  • Loan Officer
  • Financial Advisor
  • Financial Analyst

Program Flexibility

Although our accredited Finance program offers many classes online to provide students with flexible scheduling options,  not all classes are offered online.  Therefore, the finance emphasis is not available for fully online students.
