The Southern Symphonic Chorus

THE SOUTHERN SYMPHONIC CHORUS

The Southern Symphonic Chorus is comprised of The Missouri Southern Concert Chorale and community singers from Joplin and the surrounding cities and towns of the four-state area, under the artistic direction of conductor David L. Sharlow, Chair of Performing Arts and Director of Choral Activities at MSSU. Concert Chorale begins rehearsal of the work at the beginning of the spring semester in their regular MWF noon rehearsals, while community singers rehearse once a week starting the first Thursday of February of that same semester.  The week before the performance, both choirs come together to form the Southern Symphonic Chorus.   Important to know… NO AUDITION IS REQUIRED.  To join, please contact Dr. David L. Sharlow.
