About the Degree:
A Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Missouri Southern State University offers you two tracks to follow. One is a traditional study of literature that prepares you with advanced English courses for graduate school or law school. And then there's the professional/technical writer emphasis that prepares you for more specialized careers involving writing in the workplaces, such as public relations, copy writing or technical writing for a firm or corporation. The degree in philosophy is an exciting, thought-provoking minor. (See "options" below.)
