MSSU to be Open February 21, 2025
Missouri Southern State University will be open on Friday, February 21. Campus roads and sidewalks are generally clear and in good condition.
We understand that road conditions vary across the region, and employees and non-residential students are encouraged to use best judgment on their ability to safely travel to campus.

About the Degree:

If you want to get into law enforcement and you enjoy working with children and young adults and want to steer them from trouble, then a degree in Juvenile Justice may be perfect for you. With this degree, you will have an opportunity to positively impact young lives in the local, state or federal juvenile justice systems.

What You’ll Learn:

  • How to deal with minors who have committed crimes, run away from home or have been neglected or abused.
  • An understanding of the internal workings of the criminal justice system and its response to youth in the juvenile system.
  • Key skills in all correctional procedures, from criminal procedures to criminal law, the role ethics play and dealing with family violence.
