The Ansbach University of Applied Sciences, or Hochschule Ansbach, is located in a city of 40,000 inhabitants about two hours from Munich. Founded in 1996, the university of 3,100 students and 61 faculty specializes in business administration, business informatics, multimedia and communication, industrial engineering, energy and environmental systems technology, biomedical engineering, industrial biotechnology, and journalism. There are many medium-sized companies in the area that can provide internships and practice-based training for students.
The Winter (Fall) semester runs from Oct. 1 to Feb. 15. The Summer (Spring) semester runs from March 15 to July 31. It is preferable that MSSU students go to Ansbach for the Summer (Spring) semester, as it matches up better with the MSSU semester. Application deadline is May 31 for the Winter semester and Nov. 30 for the Summer semester.
An intensive German class is offered two weeks before the beginning of each term.
If you are going to stay less than 6 months in Germany, you do not need to obtain a German visa in advance. Instead, you can get a residence permit after entering the country. The Ansbach University of Applied Sciences will assist you.
