About Our School

Every student at Missouri Southern connects with the College of Arts and Sciences through general education courses taught by expert faculty.

Choosing a major here means access to research, professional development, and community involvement. We also house the award-winning International Studies Department, with many programs requiring second-language proficiency and offering study abroad opportunities.

Plus, we’re a cultural hub—hosting films, art exhibits, concerts, and more for the Joplin community.
