Members of the IRB and Human Subjects Review Panels must provide evidence of completion of the online training provided by the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI).
Faculty, staff, and student researchers submitting an application to the IRB, and faculty who supervise student(s) human subjects research, are required to complete the CITI training.
The CITI training can be found at: https://www.citiprogram.org/. New users will need to complete the registration process before signing into the training system.
For IRB and Human Subjects Review Panel members, the certificate provided at the completion of the training must be uploaded to the member's IRBNet profile. It will be maintained with the reviewer’s qualifications for the IRB. Training must be completed before reviewing IRB applications, and renewed every three years.
For researchers, the certificate of completion must be uploaded to the user's IRBNet profile AND linked to any submitted projects. For information on how to upload and link training documents to IRBNet please review the IRBNet Training Manual.
