Whether you're doing research for a major project or seeking a quiet place to study or collaborate, the George A. Spiva Library has what you need.
Spiva Library is the major information provider on campus, with access to over one million research items in a variety of collections and formats, including print books and journals; e-books, e-journals, and databases; multi-media; and microforms.
There are also numerous study rooms available for checkout, including rooms equipped with Honorlock and webcams. The Library has computer workstations on all floors, including iMac computers and several PCs with specialty software. Color and B&W printing is available in the Library via PaperCut.
Collections housed in the University Archives and Special Collections Department include numerous documents, photographs, and other items relating to the history of Missouri Southern State University; the Tri-State mining maps and drill logs; and many other collections relating to the history of the local area.
The Library is a congressionally designated depository for U.S. Government documents. Public access to our collection of government documents is guaranteed by law (Title 44 United States Code).
