Not your average quilt show!
This year the Missouri Southern Office of Alumni and Constituent Relations is sponsoring the annual Maple Leaf Quilt Show. Local quilters will be displaying their works of art for all of the 4-states area to see. The show this year will simply be a display of artistry rather than a competition. Quilts that are entered will be on display on Tuesday, October 11th from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Forest Park Carthage, located at 2535 Grand Avenue in Carthage, Missouri. Entries will be limited to the first 20 who register and registration is free. An entry form must be submitted to the MSSU Office of Alumni and Constituent Relations no later than Monday, October 3rd at noon.
Forms may be submitted by printing, completing and mailing to:

Upon receipt of registration, participants will be contacted regarding designated drop-off and pick-up times.
Contestant Rules & Requirements:
- Anyone may enter
- Completed entry form with all detail must be submitted by deadline
- Quilts must be clean and in good condition
- Quilts must be available for the duration of the show
- Credit must given to all parties involved in quilt production
Visitors are encouraged to come wander through the exhibit of local artistry and admire the craftsmanship that is put into each piece. There will also be a special community project to help commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Maple Leaf Festival. All participants and visitors are invited to design a quilt square that will be added to a special Maple Leaf Anniversary Quilt. All pieces along with a unique center block will be pieced together following the festival and displayed at future Maple Leaf Quilt Shows.
